Demi Lovato kills it with a Paramore cover at Emo nite in Los Angeles.
Demi saved the day with a little throwback A Cappella.
So get this: on Tuesday Demi Lovato was set to DJ at LA’s Emo Nite- where they play throwback emo hits to feed your adolescent soul. But the problem is, the power went out at the Echoplex. So while the Emo Nite crew fixed the power, Demi decided to show off her killer pipes and belt out an emo hit herself. Watch Demi lead the crowd in an a cappella version of Paramore’s “Misery Business.”
There’s no doubt in our mind- Paramore singer Hayley would be proud. Even better, halfway through the song Demi prompted the crowd to start over and sing it one more time.

Demi shared DJ duties that night with Post Malone and played her favorite TBT’s including Panic! At the Disco, All Time Low, and more.

The monthly dance party started in 2014 and has gained popularity ever since. At the third event ever, Blink 182 member Mark Hoppus DJed the night and ever since they’ve been featuring celebrity guest spinners. And something tells us from now on it’s going to be EVEN harder to get a ticket to Emo Nite. Tell us below if you think Demi NEEDS to record “Misery Business” as an official cover? And also comment with your favorite throwback EMO song! Now check out Camila Cabello covering “Despacito” and absolutely nailing it. As always, I’m your host Ashley Iaconetti, and I’ll see you guys next time.

  1. She covered the only good Paramore song. Every song after they released after that was garbage but MCR Helena was my favorite song.

  2. I still listen to “emo throwbacks” but if I had to choose just one it would be Panic! At the Disco’s Nine in the Afternoon it was my first song of theirs and it got me into that genre of music
