Whats with Amy Locane who killed a woman

Last week, Amy Locane, 45, was spared more jail time after the family of the woman she killed back in 2010 appealed a decision that saw the actress released after serving just 2.5 years.

Locane was three times over the legal limit when she rear-ended into Fred and Helene Seeman’s car in New Jersey.

Mrs Seeman was killed, while her husband was severely injured.

The judge listed the welfare of Locane’s daughters, aged eight and six, as the reason for not imposing a harsher sentence on her. One of them has Crohn’s disease.

“I had worked so hard since 2010 on my sobriety, on adjusting to life in prison, on being released from prison, on acclimating to my children’s lives, and to parole that having to go back would seriously interrupt, if not destroy, any progress I had made in becoming human again,” Locane told

Locane, who starred as Sandy Harling in Season 1 of Melrose Place and as Allison Vernon-Williams in the movie Cry Baby, said her friends abandoned her while she was in prison.

“Being in prison is almost like witnessing your own death,” she said. “People write to you initially and then they disappear. Then, sometimes you hear from absolute strangers and they tell you to stay strong.”

She said her stint in prison was “dehumanising.”

“You take a shower with 60 other women. You have no privacy. I read a lot of books to distract me from my situation. Guards went through your mail. My girls would send me Mother’s Day cards and the guards wouldn’t let me keep them because they were too large or they contained glitter. Every time I left a visit with my girls, I had to endure a strip search in which I had to strip, squat and cough,” she said.

The time in prison would also take a toll on her marriage to Mark Bovenizer, who served her with divorce papers just months after she was released for jail in June 2015.

In handing down his decision not to send Locane back to prison, Superior Court Judge Robert B. Reed said the actress was a model prisoner and had attended weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings since being let out on parole.

Justin Bieber and chow puppy

The New York Post reports that this time, the short-attention-stricken singer appears to have palmed off his sick dog on a friend, who’s now trying to scrounge up $US8000 ($11,000) for a lifesaving operation for the puppy.

In August last year, Bieber proudly introduced his “new little fluff ball Todd” to his fans on Instagram. Later he posted a video of the preternaturally fluffy animal, wondering adoringly, “How are you real?”

However, the infatuation has passed. It seems that Bieber — who famously adopted and then dismissed a monkey, a hamster and a snake — has given the dog to one of his dancers, C.J. Salvador.

Actually, the person who won the auction to buy Bieber’s snake Johnson, Michael Kronick, slammed the singer at the time.

“I am a huge pet and animal lover and was amazed that Mr. Bieber would actually auction off his own personal pet,” he said. “I found it really disgusting that celebrities like Bieber would stoop to a level of using living creatures as a fashion accessory and then so easily discard it.”

Johnson is now on display the Reptile & Amphibian Discovery Zoo in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Salvador has created a GoFundMe page for the luckless pooch, explaining that the pup “is a 7-month-old chow chow born with a birth defect called ‘sever hip dysplasia.’ Long story short, by the time he turns 1, he won’t be able to walk, run, let alone play.”

Whats Happen with Debbie Reynolds death

CHARLIE Sheen has “defended” himself with choice words from his thesaurus after wishing the death of US President-elect Donald Trump.

The 51-year-old actor, fondly known for his role in TV sitcom Two And A Half Men, tried to take the sting out of any negative media attention or reaction to his tweet made shortly after the news that Debbie Reynolds had become the latest high-profile death of 2016.

Sheen, who revealed that he is HIV positive in November last year, took aim at Trump, who he has dissed many times, in a macabre request to God.

It could be deemed dark humour and it has been retweeted 35,000 times and ‘liked’ 66,000 times but clearly fearing a backlash Sheen felt it necessary to defend himself with a tweet that had many scrambling for the dictionary.

Sheen dished the dirt on Trump on the Graham Norton Show in June, recalling he was dining with his then-wife Brooke Mueller when Trump approached shortly after their marriage.

Trump, according to Sheen, apologised for not making the wedding.

“And I was like, I didn’t invite you,” he joked to Norton.

“He says, ‘but I want to give you an early wedding gift as a gesture from me and Melania’.”

Sheen said Trump then gestured to the cufflinks he was wearing and said these are “platinum, diamond, Harry Winston”, and he said he wanted Sheen to have them.

He claimed he resisted the offer but Trump persisted and gave him his cuff links. Six months later Sheen said he was having jewellery at his home valued and he gave the cuff links to the valuer.

“She spent about four seconds looking at them and kind of recoiled from it, much like people do from Trump, and said ‘in their finest moment, they were cheap pewter and bad zirconia’.

“And they’re stamped ‘Trump’. And I just thought, what does this really say about the man? That he said, here’s a great wedding gift and it turned out to be just a bag of dog sh–.”

Over Adelaide strip club assault

Noll was arrested and charged over the assault of a bouncer in the early hours of Sunday morning outside the Crazy Horse Revue on Hindley Street in Adelaide’s CBD.

As more details of the incident emerged on Monday, witness Alastair Longmuir — who was outside the club when he saw the commotion happen — said the former Australian Idol star was “really aggressive”.

“He was yelling and screaming and being really aggressive,” the 19-year-old told AAP.

“He was saying, ‘I’m Shannon Noll. Let me back into the Crazy Horse’.” At some stage Noll allegedly punched a security guard and Mr Longmuir said it was at that point Noll was swiftly taken to the ground by guards before “four policemen pinned him down and took him away in a police car”.

Hindley Street revellers who saw the incident started singing Noll’s best-known hit.

“As he was thrown to the ground these strangers started singing What About Me to him,” Mr Longmuir said.

On Sunday night, police confirmed a 41-year-old NSW man had been arrested and charged with two counts of assault, and was bailed to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.

Footage shown on Nine News from the incident shows Noll being questioned by a number of security guards outside the strip club.

Noll had been in South Australia to perform at a music festival in Mannum, east of Adelaide, on Saturday.

His manager David Woodward said there would be no comment in relation to the singer’s arrest or the incident in Adelaide for legal reasons. But he said upcoming tour dates would go ahead, including his scheduled appearance at the Mornington Racecourse on January 21 and 22 as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour.

Billing itself as the ‘Home of Miss Nude Australia’, strip club Crazy Horse Revue “brings you the most luscious international performers,” according to its website.

The singer burst onto the scene back in 2003 when he came runner-up to Guy Sebastian in the first series of Australian Idol. While he hasn’t released an album in six years, in 2016 he launched a new single off the back of his new-found fame as a popular internet meme.

Athletic in New York after alleged altercation

The RnB singer reportedly got angry with a female gym manager after she asked his group of friends to keep it down, TMZ reports.

Brown was playing a basketball game at Life Time Athletic in New York City with friends when other clients began to complain about their loud music and swearing.

When the gym manager asked Brown to quieten down, the singer put up a fight.

TMZ also reports that singer was asked to leave.

He then spat on his way out the door, TMZ also reports.

Brown is in training to fight Soulja Boy in an upcoming boxing match.

50 Cent revealed that Mike Tyson would train Brown for the event since Soulja Boy already has Floyd Mayweather’s support.

The beef between the stars emerged after Soulja Boy liked a picture posted by one of Brown‘s exes on Instagram.

The pair then engaged in a long war of words over social media, with Soulja Boy even calling out Brown’s daughter Royalty.

Brown also accused Soulja Boy of being a drug addict and a police informant.

Soulja Boy then called on his friend Mayweather to train him — and he accepted.

“I got the best ever my big bro @floydmayweather training me damn,” he added.

Brown accepted the challenge.

Exhibition will be shut down

A QUEENS museum said Friday it is shuttering its controversial anti-President Trump exhibit dreamt up by actor Shia LaBeouf, conceding that the installation has become a “flashpoint for violence,” The Post has learned.

A webcam mounted on a wall outside Astoria’s Museum of the Moving Image — titled “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” — began filming on Inauguration Day, and was to be in place 24/7, for the duration of Trump’s presidency.

But clashes between pro- and anti-Trump forces were too much for museum brass to justify the art project.

“The installation created a serious and ongoing public safety hazard for the museum, its visitors, its staff, local residents and businesses,” the museum said in a statement.

“While the installation began constructively, it deteriorated markedly after one of the artists was arrested at the site of the installation and ultimately necessitated this action.”

The statement said the controversy led to “numerous arrests” and prompted around-the-clock police patrols.

Those busted included LaBeouf, who was put in cuffs at a late January scuffle at the oddball installation.

Neighbours complained about noisy visitors loitering on their porches in the early morning hours, urinating and smoking marijuana, the local community board said.

Following a deluge of complaints, the 114th Precinct has set up a 24-hour patrol presence outside the museum, the NYPD said.

Community leaders and neighbours said something had to be done.

“Why don’t they put the cam inside the museum? That has been raised by some individuals,” said Community Board 1 District Manager Florence Koulouris.

“The concern is the quality of life. There’s action going on during unacceptable hours. The museum needs to find a way to make the project better for everyone involved,” she said.

Meanwhile, a prominent museum board trustee had slammed the project as misguided, and said it was authorised without her input.

“I was not told. I don’t really know how it happened. I was upset when I found out about it,” said Claire Shulman, a former Queens borough president.

NYC after the email scandal

VICTORIA Beckham has jetted to New York amid husband David Beckham’s ‘Beckileaks’ emails scandal, where he reportedly called an honours committee ‘unappreciative c***s’.

Leaked correspondence between the former soccer star, 41, and his advisers allegedly revealed he used the expletive when they did not knight him.

David Beckham’s emails were reportedly hacked as part of a $1.6 million blackmail plot, dubbed “Beckileaks”, The Sun reports.

Posh, 42, was pictured working in the Big Apple, where she is due to show her latest clothing collection at New York fashion week, while Becks was photographed alone in London.

Posh flashed her wedding and engagement rings as she strutted the streets in Manhattan, wearing a daring red fitted knit dress, teamed with a structured blue shirt, stiletto booties and oversized sunglasses.

Days earlier, she was rushed through Heathrow airport in London as she boarded her flight to New York.

Allegations from the email hack include that Becks — who was awarded an OBE in 2003 — did charity work as part of a strategic PR campaign for a knighthood (Beckham was said to have come close to being named a “sir” in 2014 but was overlooked).

The emails also revealed his team hatched a plan to send him to space as part of a plot to generate sponsorship opportunities, Daily Mail reports.

The scandal has dealt “brand Beckham” a massive blow.

The Beckham family has built a multi-million dollar fortune based on its polished brand and is considered celebrity royalty, particularly in British social circles.

Posh and Becks have been married for 17 years and share four children: Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, 5.

Celebrities sparked avalanches of criticism

FROM the shocking to the rude to the downright distasteful, sometimes jokes and comments are made way too soon after tragedies.

Whether it’s plane crashes, the Holocaust or theme park tragedies, these are the times those in the public eye well and truly put their foot in it.

If a joke shocks Kyle Sandilands, you know you’ve probably gone too far.

When The Chaser’s Julian Morrow cracked jokes about the disappearance of the MH370 flight, plenty of people said it was in poor taste.

Morrow was originally approached to do a segment for Kyle and Jackie O on conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of the plane but a gross misunderstanding led to the comedian creating his own conspiracy theories.

“It’s a Coles campaign. It’s all part of the new down down promotion and they’re trying to encourage people to check in with Coles,” the Chaser star said.

Jackie O protested, telling Morrow, “Julian we can’t go there.”

“The makers of Air Crash Investigation perhaps? They’ve run out of episodes?” he speculated could be another conspiracy theory.

Morrow later released a statement on Twitter to defend himself and justify his comments writing he clarified with KiisFM “the angle is to invent silly/funny conspiracy theories for what happened. That was confirmed, but it’s now obvious this is where a misunderstanding crystallised.”

Both the Australian Radio Network, who owns KiisFMand Morrow said the segment was “due to a miscommunication” and apologised if “anyone has been upset or offended.”

American Pie star Jason Biggs also prompted outrage on Twitter after he used MH370 in a gag about The Bachelor.

“Nikki is looking for Juan Pablo to say ‘I Love You’. She’d have better luck looking for Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. #TheBachelor.”

The Tasmanian radio host Anna Dare was in a huge amount of hot water after she made a poor taste joke less than a day after four people were killed when their ride tragically tipped onto a conveyor belt at Dreamworld.

In the radio show’s ‘Secret Sound’ segment, Dare heard a sound their listeners had to guess in order to win a cash prize.

“I really don’t like it,” she said. “It’s violent sounding.”

“It’s not getting stuck in a conveyor belt at a theme park is it? Too soon?” she asked.

Dare’s co-host sounded shocked by the comment and simply responded with a sigh.

“That’s what it sounds like to me when I first heard it,” Dare protested, “that’s the first thing I thought of”.

The announcer was quickly suspended from the breakfast show and was forced to undertake counselling and training after the comment.

Although the radio station offered her the opportunity to return to co-hosting the breakfast show with former My Kitchen Rules contestant Newell, Dare instead resigned thanking the station for its support and “deciding to take a break from radio.”

The Australian comedian was forced to apologise yesterday after his joke on Twitter about the Colombian plane crash that killed 76 people.

His bizarre political protest site

ACTOR Shia LaBeouf was arrested after a scuffle at his oddball anti-Trump art instillation in Queens, New York, on Wednesday night according to police.

The actor was performing his “He Will Not Divide Us” livestream protest when someone disrupted the exhibit and LaBeouf allegedly assaulted him.

A video taken from the performance, going on outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, shows LaBeouf being apprehended in the background.

In an earlier video, a man approaches LaBeouf and embraces him before strangely shouting, “Hitler did nothing wrong.”

LaBeouf then appears to shove the man before the camera pans away from the scene.

It was not clear if this was the same incident LaBeouf was arrested for.

The actor was being held at the 114th Precinct Station house Thursday morning (local time).

Labeouf’s ambitious political protest has been set up in New York, and the project features a camera mounted outside the city’s Museum of Moving Images showing a sign bearing the words “He will not divide us”.

An instruction urges passers-by to stand in front of the wall and repeat the words as a form of protest against the new presidency.

LaBeouf teased the project over the past six days, Tweeting the words “He will not divide us” to his nearly 50,000 followers.

A website for the movement says the camera will be available and will livestream for the next four years — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Commencing at 9am on January 20, 2017, the day of the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, the public is invited to deliver the words “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish,” the website states.

“Open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the participatory performance will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency. In this way, the mantra “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.

Celebrities that warning for young women

MISCHA BARTON has been released from hospital and has a warning to girls on nights out — be careful of drink spiking.

TMZ reported yesterday the star had been hospitalised after a number of concerned neighbours called the police early Thursday morning.

She was reportedly “hanging over her backyard fence in West Hollywood and rambling about her mum being a witch, the world shattering and Ziggy Stardust.”

The O.C star has since left hospital and today released a statement to PEOPLE explaining exactly what happened.

“On the evening of the 25th, I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. While having drinks, I realised that something was not right as my behaviour was becoming erratic and continued to intensify over the next several hours,” Barton said in the statement.

The 31-year old added she “voluntarily went to get professional help, and I was informed by their staff that I had been given GHB. After an overnight stay, I am home and doing well.”

She thanked the professionals at Cedars-Sinai, the Los Angeles hospital she stayed at and then proceeded to give young women a warning.

“This is a lesson to all young women out there, be aware of your surroundings.”

GHB, also known as liquid ecstasy is commonly found on the clubbing scene however its incredibly strong effects and the fact that it is colourless and odourless has also made it one of the most common date rape drugs.

When mixed with alcohol, it can cause rapid intoxication.

Barton is most famous for her role as Marissa Cooper on the hit teen show The O.C.

Since appearing on the show, the actress has experienced highs and lows in the public eye.

In 2007, she was arrested on charges of DUI and drug possession.

Two years later, she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold by the LAPD in 2009 after having a self-described “freak out”.

Speaking to PEOPLE in 2013, the star described the low-point in the psychiatric ward.

“It was a full-on breakdown. It was terrifying, straight out of Girl, Interrupted. Story of my life,” she said.

“I was never suicidal. I was just overworked and depressed. But one slip of the tongue in a heightened moment and you find yourself in that situation.”

Speaking about the overnight success she experienced with The O.C., Barton told People: “We thought, work hard play hard.”

“It was a train I couldn’t not get off of.”
